Monday Night Drill!

Members drilled on using the Holmatro Air Bags, lifting a 10’ concrete jersey wall. The drill was led by Sgt. J Emmons, who is the Captain of the Montgomery County, MD Fire & Rescue Technical Rescue Team. He also deploys with FEMA USAR …so he kinda knows a thing or two about a thing or two!

Joanne is okay everyone! She said tree fell 4 feet away from her 😧 I couldn't imagine 🙏🏼 but thankfully red cross helped her out for 5 days in a motel.

When you go looking for your firefighter in pictures but you don’t see him, then you find out his “haircut” was a HAIRCUT! Glad everyone got practice and helped a guy out.

Do you typically carry that much suction on your engine?

🚨Happening Now! Multiple Field Fires🚨

We’ll try this again! The next few days are forecasted for nothing but sunny skies, wind and a high of 70°! Please DO NOT BURN!

There are currently 2 woods fires in Franklin County at the time of this post, with resources coming in from neighboring counties! E43 is on their way to Co.11(Pleasant Hall) for a transfer, while they operate on a mountain fire on Forge Hill Rd!

There NO BURN BANS IN EFFECT!! Stop spreading misinformation

But there is no burn ban in effect

Are there any legal consequences for people who burn in violation of the burn ban?

🔥🔥🔥Working Fire 🔥 🔥🔥

Station 4 Volunteers and surrounding companies currently operating on a 600 foot barn fire in the 4400 block of Lighthouse Rd Guilford Township.
Originally dispatched as an “outside smoke investigation”, multiple calls quickly started coming in from people traveling along I-81 reporting a large barn on fire. E45 picked up Co.8(Marion) 1,000’ lay out at the end of the lane. Once tankers arrived on scene and porta tanks were set up, 45 was able to flow water back to the fire scene. The crew assisted with fire attack.

This is our second fire of the night.

Starting to seem suspicious how many local barn fires there were. Kinda looks like a chicken house like what happened in shipp

Good morning, this is Milkha with FOX43 News. Are we able to use these photos on-air and online? If so, who should we give credits to? Franklin Fire Company

Another barn fire?

Operational Members (Firefighters & Fire Police)

We are always looking to take new firefighters into the organization. Operational firefighters can be broken down into two categories; interior firefighters and exterior firefighters. Interior firefighters enter hazardous environments in order to mitigate the emergency. Some examples would be a house fire, building fire, carbon monoxide emergencies and various other hazardous situations. Exterior firefighters operate outside of the hazardous structure and/or hazardous environment. Some of the duties exterior firefighters perform include but are not limited to: setting up ladders, helping with hose lines, and retrieving tools from the apparatus.

The Franklin Fire Company has a live-in program for both male and female firefighters as well. Both male and female bunkrooms have private showers and a locker room with your own personal locker(s). Free Wi-Fi, computer access, and cable. Access to a full kitchen, dining area, lounge, and gym.

Requirements to be a live-in:

  • Must be an active member of the Franklin Fire Company
  • You must stay at the firehouse 4 nights a week
  • Assist with weekly cleaning
  • Respond on calls while on station
  • Age 18+

Note: Membership applications are not complete without payment of the $10.00 application fee.

Non-Operational Members

Non-Operational Members help out with fundraising, administrative tasks and community events, which may include bingos, gun drawings or helping with fire prevention activities at schools. This group consists of members who do not ride on the fire trucks or respond on emergencies but are just as vital to our organization as the firefighters. We are always looking for people to help us with fundraising, because without fundraising, there are no fire trucks on the street.

Note: Membership applications are not complete without payment of the $10.00 application fee.

Junior Members

Junior members are operational members ages 14-17. After the junior member completes the proper training required, he or she may then ride on apparatus to the scene of emergencies. Junior members are not allowed to enter any hazardous structure until the scene has been deemed safe by the Incident Commander. Junior members serve a vital part on the fireground and around the firehouse. Not only will junior members learn how to be a firefighter, but they also complete essential tasks at the scene of emergencies. Junior members are the future of our organization.

Note: Junior Members do not have to pay the $10.00 application fee.
