Mark Trace
Fire Chief 46
Mark has been a member of the Franklin Fire Company for over 29 years now. He has been an officer for 25 years, including 17 years as Fire Chief. He has also served as Deputy Chief, Assistant Chief, and Captain. Outside of the Franklins, Mark is a Lieutenant for DC Fire and EMS. In his free time Mark enjoys traveling, kicking back with a cigar, and spending time with his dog Blaze.
Dave Olson
Deputy Chief 47
Dave has been a member at Franklin Fire Company for over 18 years and has been an officer for over 10 years now. Besides serving as Deputy Chief, Dave has also held the position of Assistant Chief and Captain. Outside of the Franklin Fire Company, Dave is a Lieutenant for Carroll County Department of Fire and EMS of Maryland.
Steve Himes
Assistant Chief 48
Steve has been a member of The Franklin Fire Company for over 29 years. He has served over 15 years as a Chief Officer. Outside of the Franklin Fire Company Steve is a Captain for DC Fire and EMS.
John Emmons
Assistant Chief 49
John has been a member of the Franklin Fire Company for over 35 years. He is another example of generations here at the Franklins. His father was a life member and served as an Asst. Chief. Outside of the Franklins, John is a Captain for Montgomery County Fire & Rescue.
Matt Bigler
Captain 44
Matt has been a member of the Franklin Fire Company for 18 years and has been an officer for over 8 years now. Prior to becoming Captain in 2024, he also served as Sergeant, Lieutenant, and Assistant Chief. Outside of Station 4, Matt works for the Chambersburg Borough Street Department and enjoys spending time with his two daughters.
Tyler Myers
Lieutenant 44
Tyler has been a member of the Franklin Fire Company for 17 years. 2026 is his first year as an officer. Outside of the Franklin Fire Company, Tyler is a Firefighter/EMT at Fort George G Meade in Anne Arundel County.
Payden Miller
Sergeant 44-1
Payden has been a member of the Franklin Fire Company for 8 years. This is his second year as an officer with our department. Payden joined the Franklins as a Jr. Member and is another example of generations within our department. From his grandfather to his father both being officers throughout their lives and time at the Franklins. Outside of Station 4, Payden is a telecommunicator for Franklin County Department of Emergency Services.
Connor Adams
Sergeant 44-2
Connor has been a member of the Franklin Fire Company for 4 years. 2026 is his first year as an Officer with the department. Outside of Station 4, Connor is a Firefighter/EMT for the Baltimore City Fire Department
