**House Fire 5/2/2024**
4:20PM: Engine 45, Truck 42, and Engine 43 along with mutual aid units responded first due in box area 44-05 to the 800Blk of Fern Lane for smoke inside a residence. Caller reported the first floor was filled with smoke and had an odor of electrical. Assistant Chief 49 arrived and found a 2 story split level home with smoke showing from the front door. AC49 reported heavy smoke in the basement. E45 split laid approximately 1300ft of supply line. E45 stretched an 1.5” hand line and found the fire already extinguished due to a broken water line. STA4 units found the fire contained to the basement with no extension and held the assignment to STA4 and Co.18.
